Courtney Johnson Rose is a businesswoman, real estate broker, investor, educator, and community leader. She is the Chief Executive Officer of George E. Johnson Development, Inc., a full-service real estate firm specializing in development services, owner representation, master planning, residential and commercial brokerage services, and president-elect of the National Association of Real Estate Brokers. As the president of the National Association of Real Estate Brokers, Courtney is responsible for leading the oldest minority trade association in the country with over 115 chapters. She is the immediate past chair of the Texas Association of African American Chambers, a statewide network of over 25 Black chambers of commerce. Governor Greg Abbott appointed Courtney as a director of the Texas State Affordable Housing Corporation (TSAHC). She also serves as a board member and past real estate committee chair of the Greater Houston Partnership, and she was the chairperson of the mayor’s transition team committee on small business opportunity and the city of Houston Taskforce on Minority and Women-Owned Businesses under Mayor Sylvester Turner. Courtney is also part of the Community Collective for Houston, which recently acquired The Power Center, a 110,000-square-foot multipurpose facility that includes a small business incubator, event center, urban farm, and private school.
